North Suburban Y Chooses Architect for $3.5 Million Renovation
The North Suburban YMCA has chosen Healy Bender and Associates of Naperville as the architect to renovate the 42-year-old facilities.
The North Suburban YMCA Building Committee has picked Healy Bender and Associates of Naperville as architect and master planner of an ambitious $3.5 million upgrade, renovation and expansion program for the current Y building at 2705 Techny Rd. "We wanted the modernization to reflect the programmatic changes this facility has gone through since [1968]," said Howard Schultz, CEO and executive director of the North Suburban YMCA. "The new design needed to reflect the greater focus on families and children that our programs do today." The expansion is part of the second phase of the Y's current capital campaign.
