Animal Awards Show Coming to Northbrook

Well-behaved dogs and their guardians will put on their fanciest clothes to attend Heartland Animal Shelter’s Golden Paw and A-cat-emy Awards on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 2875 
Milwaukee Ave.

The Golden Paw Gala is one of the North Shore's biggest pet-friendly galas, drawing about 200 guests, many escorted by their canine companions.

“Not only is this one of our most fun events, it helps us raise much needed funds for the hundreds of homeless dogs and cats that come through Heartland’s doors each year,” said president of the Heartland 
Board of Directors, Michelle Voss.

Jeanne Sparrow and Melissa Forman from WCIU's This Morning Show will host the event and emcee the much anticipated Golden Paw and A-cat-emy Awards pet pageant.

The event also includes appetizer and dessert stations and a silent auction with dozens of items for people and their pets.

The black-tie optional event is $85 per person and $25 per dog in advance and $110 per person and $50 per dog at the door.
