The Glenbrook North Spartans will play the Hersey Huskies on Aug. 30.

Just in time for football season, Glenbrook North High School is completing the installation of its new $1.5 million artificial turf field, which also features a running track, reported the Chicago Tribune.

In addition, the installation of new floors and doors for the school's main gym is expected to be complete in October, according to the story.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the turf field will be held at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 30, before the opening season football game against the Hersey Huskies.
