Northbrook Homeowners, Businesses Team Up Against Walmart

A group representing about 1,500 households has retained a lawyer to challenge Walmart's zoning change request.

Nine local groups, including the Northbrook East Homeowners Association, have teamed up with several small businesses to prevent Walmart from building a super center at 1000 Skokie Blvd., the Northbrook Star reports.

The entire group represents more than 1,500 households and hired Northbrook's O’Halloran, Kosoff, Geitner & Cook lawfirm to fight Walmart's zoning change request, according to the Northbrook Star.
