225 Pounds of Computer Equipment Stolen

The following arrest information was supplied by the Northbrook Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Vehicular Burglary

On July 23, a service driver was making a delivery to the Apple store at Northbrook Court, and left the rear door of the delivery truck unlocked while he brought part of the delivery inside, according to police. When the driver returned to the truck 20 minutes later, 21 pieces of computer equipment weighing 225 pounds was gone, police say. The items are tightly wrapped together with plastic and would have had to be taken together in a bundle, according to the report.

DUI

On July 28, officers responding to an accident near Dundee and Pfingsten Roads charged Ronald Kite, 69, of Deerfield, with DUI and failure to yield when turning left, according to police. 

On July 28, officers stopped Michael Degeatano, 20, of Northbrook, for a traffic violation and placed him under arrest, according to police. Degeatano was charged with DUI, consumption of alcohol by a minor and speeding, police say. 

Residential Burglary

On July 23, a resident on the 3100 block Donovan Glen Court said cash and jewelry was stolen from the Northbrook home while two people distracted the homeowner by saying they needed to do some digging in the backyard, according to police.
