9 Vehicles Burglarized in 1 Night

The following arrest information was supplied by the Northbrook Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI
On Aug. 18, officers stopped Fernando Mendoza, 29, of Highland Park, near Founders and Techny roads, and charged him with DUI, disobeying a red light and illegal transportation of alcohol, according to police. 

On Aug. 24, officers stopped Vladimir Barsky, 56, of Morton Grove, near Waukegan and Willow roads, and charged him with DUI, improper lane usage and speeding, according to police. 


On Aug. 25, officers stopped Joseph A. Kleiman, 24, of Glenview near Willow and Founders roads, and charged him with speeding and DUI, according to police. 

Burglary
On Aug. 23, a resident reported her wallet was missing from a car which was parked in a garage on the 1100 block of Kensington Drive, according to police. The car's key was left on a desk in the garage, but the resident later found the car key was on the garage floor, the doors unlocked and the wallet missing, police say. 

Multiple Vehicular Burglaries
According to police reports, on Aug. 22, three cars were burglarized on the 3400 block of Sorrel Drive, two were burglarized on the 800 block of Cedar Lane, two were burglarized on the 1400 block of Woodhill Drive and two more were burglarized on the 2900 block of Lilac Lane.

Stolen Vehicle
On Aug. 22, a white van was stolen from the 1800 block of Raymond Drive, according to police. In the van was a black air compressor, power drills and other tools, police say.

Burglary
On Aug. 22, a resident on the 2600 block of Illinois Road reported her home burglarized, and pry marks were found on a rear window and window ledge, according to police Firearms, jewelry and other items were reported stolen.
