Lexus Flips In Saturday Night Accident
A 16-year-old driver was t-boned after making an improper right turn from the inside lane of Waukegan Road.
A Saturday night collision on Waukegan Road caused a Lexus to flip on its side, though no one in the collision sustained serious injuries.
On June 15 at 10:20 p.m., a 16-year-old driver from Wilmette traveling northbound on Waukegan Road approaching Winnetka Road was t-boned by a 50-year-old man, according to Northfield police.
The 16-year-old was in a Lexus, with a 17-year-old passenger from Kenilworth. Police say the 17-year-old told the driver to make a last-minute right turn from the inside lane, which caused the accident.
The 50-year-old man, a Northbrook resident, was driving in a Hyundai. He sustained minor injuries but declined hospital treatment.
The Lexus driver was cited for improper turning.
